So what type of mask should you get? Like everything else paintball, it's all personal preference. Paintball IS personal preference.

The Golden 1. Always, ALWAYS try on the mask you are interested in before buying. It's the top answer to questions like this and the most educated one as well. How are you going to play well if you can't see or feel well? Whether going to your local store or trying on a friend's mask that you like.

2. Read up reviews. Most people have in their mind what they want, select a couple 1-4 that you like or however many you want. Then, search up reviews and read about them. The mask's ups and downs, prices, and features. Eliminate the bad reviewed ones, but still keep them in the back of your mind.

Then, after you have narrowed it down to 1-2, or a couple. Go try them on somewhere. If they all don't feel good, or not to your liking, try the others that you eliminated with the reviews. If still not, go back home and look up more masks

How to Work With Your Bunker

Bunker logic= Using the bunker with all it's angles, maximizing all it's uses.
Always keep square to the bunker. DON'T put your back to it, or hide your face.

You want to always match the angle of your gun to the side of your bunker


Playing a dorito and notice how the loader is tilted inward in order to avoid displaying the whole loader in profile. Tilting your gun to match the side of your bunker allows you to stay tight and avoid getting shot in the loader from the center.

• Always stay tight!
• Keep your loader tucked in!
• Use ALL angles!
• Keep shoulder, hips, legs squared towards your opponent
• Use your barrel to push into your bunker to lower profile.

Choosing a Paintball Marker

There are various steps on choosing the most preeminent paintball markers. You just have to know what you are doing and buying before you start anything.

Some recommended things to do before you go about buying your gun

Go to your local field, spot your gun, ask to try it out
Go to your local shop and try it out. Feel it, etc
Read reviews on site such as InfoPaintball, PbReview, and PbNation
Don't be afraid to ask questions

First thing you want to do is to determine your budget. Determing your budget will help you eliminate the guns you can't afford, or will not be worth your money. Also be aware of the fact that some paint-guns, such as semi-auto and auto-cockers, discharge more balls and use more CO2 than others. This can also affect the cost of your game.

Determine your play. Are you going to play monthly? Weekly? Or just a couple times a year?This will help decide your budget too.

Determine your level. Are you going to play for fun? For tournaments? Woodsballs? Speedballs?This will help you decide your budget as well.

After you have narrowed it down, try our the gun. Choose the size and type of paintball loader you want. See the 'determining' paragraph above. Decide the length of barrel you want for your gun. A rifled barrel costs more, but also tends to be more accurate.

So how do you find the right barrel for you?

Barrel Material
There are many materials that are used for paintball barrels. These can include: steel, aluminum, titanium, and carbon fiber. Generally, carbon fiber barrels are the lightest, resulting in higher cost. Steel barrels can handle wear and tear, as well as weather, but can be slightly heavier. Aluminum barrels, are the most common but can be affected by weather. Aluminum barrels are usually the cheapest.

Barrel Length
Many people believe that a longer barrel is a more accurate barrel. The fact is: Anything longer than a 12" or 14" barrel will decrease the ability of your barrel. The efficiency of your gun will decrease, as more air will be used to shoot the ball. Another downfall of a longer barrel, is that the paintball will decrease in speed, causing short distances.

I personally use a 14" for speedball, and I've heard of 16" or 18" barrels working well for woodsball/scenario players

Porting
Porting- Holes near the tip of the barrel.
The main purpose of porting, would be to let air gradually be let out.

Porting is sometimes spiraled or straight.

The Golden Rule

Almost all paintballers agree, that the most important paintball barrel tips would be, finding the perfect paintball to barrel bore match.

What I recommend is the paintball 'blow test'. This is done by placing your paintball at the back of your barrel. If it rolls out, the paintball size is too small. If it doesn't roll out, continue with the following. Put the back of your barrel on your lips, and naturally blow the paintball. The paintball should come out without tiring and making you light headed. If it does, the paintball size is too big.

Keep Ballin in the Summer Sun

We were at practice last week when my teammate stopped us at 2PM and had to leave. We all decided to leave, and he felt like he was drunk. It's pretty scary...

Don't let that happen to you. So here are some tips

1. Clothing
We all know paintballers wear TONS of clothing. Padded pants, padded jerseys, elbow pads, knee pads, shoes, underclothing, mehh..

So watch out for the heat. If it gets too hot, don't be afraid to just take off your jersey and play with a undershirt and elbow pads along with your pants and such.

2. Rehydrate REHYDRATE
This is the most important tip of ALL. Playing paintball you will use tons of energy and SWEAT. So make sure you bring lots and lots of water, Gatorade. NO SODA

Sometimes you go "I have to go use the the bathroom" and you play one round and everything just sweats out. No joke

3. Bring a Cooler
Coolers are helpful in many ways

► Store paintballs
► Store equipment. Most importantly, your air tank
► Store drinks

Bring at least two coolers with you. One for drinks and such, and one for paintball

4. Protect your paintballs and air tanks
You don't want to chop on the field and find out all your paintballs are melted...
If it's not to hot, the trunk will do. But over 90°F you store them in a cooler. In the cooler you can store your air tank as well.

5. Mask and Head wear
This is what you want to look for
Mask
► No fog or anti-fog
► Comfortable for you
► Dual lenses
► Good foam quality

Head wear
► Personal opinion: Two types of head wear

► Bandanna
► Absorb sweat
► Mesh on the inside
► Comfortable

► Sandana
► Mesh hanging down your neck
► Comfortable
► It's a headband with a layer of mesh hanging down to take bounces

6. Sun

Keep an eye out on the sun. Keep in the shade when you are resting or getting ready. Usually there is a canopy with tables, like a picnic area for you at paintball fields.
